Payment Terms:
- 1. Seal the deal with a 5% Initial Deposit within 2 days of auction close.
- 2. Finalize your investment with the remaining balance within 7 days.
- 3. All prices are GST exclusive. GST is added to the subtotal and is payable by the buyer.
- 4. Buyer is responsible to lodge the transfer forms and cover any transfer fees.
Settlement through BeachPrice Escrow
This transaction is secured and settled through BeachPrice Escrow, following these steps:
1. The Buyer pays the remaining balance to BeachPrice Escrow.
2. The Seller either sends all necessary permanent transfer forms to the buyer OR makes an online permanent transfer to the buyer.
- 3. BeachPrice holds the payment in escrow until the transfer is confirmed by DPI.
- 4. Upon confirmation by DPI, BeachPrice releases the payment to the Seller.
- 5. The transaction is completed.
Buyer protections
The full balance is returned to the Buyer if:
1. The Seller does not transfer the fully completed forms within 7 days
2. DPI does not approve the transfer within 14 days for any reason and the Buyer rescinds the contract
Seller protections
The Seller retains the 5% Initial Deposit if:
1. The Buyer does not pay the remaining balance within 7 days AND the Seller agrees to terminate the transaction.
2. The Seller does not retain the 5% Initial Deposit or the remaining balance if:
DPI does not complete the transfer for any reason and the Buyer elects to rescind the contract.

Let's say there's an auction for a fishing quota with the following status:
- Starting bid: $100
- Minimum bid increment: $10
And let’s assume you're willing to pay up to $500 for it. You enter a Max Bid of $500.
When you place your Max Bid of $500, the system will automatically place a bid of $100 (the starting bid) on your behalf.
If another bidder comes along and places a bid of $110, our system will automatically and instantly place a new bid for you, just above the competing bid, at $120.
This process continues until the competing bids exceed your Max Bid of $500 or the auction ends.
If the auction ends with your Max Bid still being the highest, you'll win the auction, and you'll only pay the lowest necessary amount to outbid other bidders, not necessarily the full $500 you were willing to spend.
