Auction Rules

Bidding on auctions

  • Buyers will need to register to see prices and seller details

  • The bid price is on a per kilogram or unit basis as per item description

  • Each item will have a minimum bid increment set by the seller. Eg. $0.1 or $0.5

  • All auctions will have a reserve price set by the seller, the seller reserves the right to accept or refuse any or all bids

  • Only bid on an auction that you are willing to pay for

  • You can bid on many auction listings at the same time

  • There is no limit on the number of times you can bid on each auction

Auto Bid

  • Auto Bid is a great feature to help buyers increase chances of winning

  • Buyers can still place bids separately while using the Auto Bid feature

  • Buyers can set the max limit by entering the highest amount you’d pay for the item you are interested in

  • Auto Bid will automatically place bids of the minimum increment to keep you in the lead — all the way up to your max limit

  • Once you enter your max limit, BeachPrice will automatically bid on your behalf up to this maximum. If the item auction ends for the lower price than your maximum, you’ll only be required to pay the lower amount.

Nominating fishers

  • Buyers to nominate their own fishers

  • Buyers are solely responsible for coordinating with their fishers

  • Buyers are responsible for negotiating and paying their fishers.

Paying for auctions you’ve won

  • The successful bidder will be notified within 24 hours of auction end

  • When a buyer wins an item, the buyer is obligated to complete the purchase by sending full payment to the seller

  • The seller will send the buyer invoice for the final auction price plus GST and any government authority transfer fee. The full amount must be paid within 72 hours

  • Once payment received, the seller will send the buyer application for transfer with relevant government authority. This is to be returned to the seller. The seller will submit the application within 48 hours for processing.

Second Chance Offer

  • Auctions with no bids will be open to a Second Chance Offer opportunity for all buyers once the auction ends

  • Buyers need to log into BeachPrice again to view the listing page after the auction ends to make their offer

  • Each buyer can only make one Second Chance offer on an item

  • The seller will contact the buyer if the Offer is reasonable to be accepted

  • Second Chance Offer is only available within 48 hours after the auction ends.
